A great body of soldier*, Including several generals, and the public, thronged the streets, and soldiers carried General Birdwood on their shoulders to a motor car, which led a military procession to the Town Hall, where he Was tendered a civic reception. General Birdwood, in a speech, said ha ought not to be thanked for anything he did over there.
