TARANAKI TOURNAMENT. RECORD ENTRIES Record entries have been received for the Taranaki tournament, which opens on the New Plymouth Club's links on Saturday morning. Tho course has never been in better condition so early In the season, and everything points to a very successful tournament. Prominent players from different clubs in New Xealand have entered, including several previous winners of the Taranaki championship, Good entries have also been received for the ladies' snatches, including Miss Oambrlll (of Miramar). Monday.—!! a.m., second round of the championship; bogey handicap; 11 a.m., Indies' bogey match, • Afternoon: Third round of the championship; medal handicap. Tuesday.—9 am., fourth round of the championship; four-ball bogey handicap; II a.m., hides' medal match. Afternoon: Final of the championship; bogey handicap. A continuous putting competition will be held each day.
