THE PEOPLE'S. POPULAR BERT LYTELL. "Blaekie's Redemption," which will be the feature at the People's Pictures tonight for one night only with Bert Lytell as the star, is the second of tue clever Red Book Magazine stories from the pen of Jack Boyle to be made into screen plays by Metro. The lirst was ''Boston Blaekie's Little Pal," in which Mr. Lytell did splendid work. "Blaekie's Redemption," is the story of a "gentleman crook," who desires' to "go straight." He gives up his luwless pursuits and is about to marry the girl he loves when lie is arrested and sent to prison for a crime committed by others. How he makes liis daring escape is one of the many thrilling incidents which will be revealed in the play, and which leads to a powerful and startling climax. The latest gazettes and comedy are also shown. EVERYBODY'S. LAST NIGHT OF "THE BLUFFER." One of the befit World films to date is "The Bluffer," in which June Elvidgo and a big cast appeared last night at Everybody's. June Elvidgo as a societv belle, Sybil Van Norden, discovers Jimself penniless on the death of her fajmer. Vaughan, her father's partner, whom lie cheated along with the others, cynically advises her to bluff it through, and, innocent of the world, it is all Sybil can do. A money lender stakes her, and she makes a match with a supposed catch, only to find that he is a bluffer, like herself, and he forces her to prey upon Moran. a wealthy Westerner. It is Vaughan who finally rescues her froili the quicksands and leads her to happiness, but not until her adventures have been many and desperate. The programme also includes a Public Health film, "Dr. Wise on Influenza," and the eighth episode of "The Lightning Raider." To-night will be the final screening. EVERYBODY'S AND THE PEOPLE'S. "THE PASSING OF THE THIRD FLOOR BACK." GOOD FRIDAY NIGHT. Special arrangements have been completed to screen the big special film attraction, "The Passing of the Third Floor Back," at Everybody's and the People's on Good Friday' night. Sir Johnston Forbes-liobertson as "The Stranger" in the "Passing of the Third Floor Back" i 3 an announcement that should be warmly welcomed.
