STREET DECORATIONS. The committee that has charge of the street decorations for the visit of the Prince of Wales to New Plymouth has arranged a scheme which should ,meet with general approval. It is hoped that prizate citizens will decorate their business premises, especially those along the route of the royal procession, as profusely as possible. The committee will supply the greenery for this purpoagftp any who will undertake decujjjJM^Hork. The eommittee'jfiHHKembraces a design for station on similar those adopted on the occasion farewell visit of the Governor-General and Countess of Liverpool. They will also decorate all the telegraph poles along the main street with «veonery, and it is proposed to erect banks of greenery and flags at the corners of Devon and Queen Streets and Devon and Liardet Streets, and to erect an arclnvay of greenery in Liavdet Street, about opposite the Victoria Boarding House, with banks of greenery from the Comer of Devon Street on botli sides of Liardet Street up to the archway. While the decorations will be an attractive feature in connection with the occasion, they are not intended to attract the people intc the streets for the royal procession. The object of the general committee is to have an large a crowd a? possible assembled' to greet the Prince at Pukekura Park.
