CHOICE OF FLAG.

THE FUTURE OF SCHLESWIC. POLITICAL CRISIS FEARED, By Telejrapb.—Press Aasn.—Copyright, Received March 31, 1.45 p.m. Copenhagen, March 30. A political crisis has been caused through the attitude of tho Cabinet in accepting the pro-German result of the plebiscite in the second Sehleswig zone, while the Opposition favors the internationalisation o£ the zone provisionally. The executive committees of the Social Democratic Party and the Trades Union agreed to the demand, for the reinstatement of the Zahle Ministry, and the immediate summoning of Parliament if the demand is not granted. The Congress of Trades Unions will to-morrow consider a general strike. A later message states the King refused the demands of the Socialists. —Reuter Service.

The voting ir. the plebiscite of the second Sehleswig zone resulted in favor of Germany. The territory of Sehleswig was divided into three zones for the purpose of the plebiscite, under the Versailles Treaty. The plebiscite in the first zone —the northernmost —was held in the second week in February, and resulted in favor of reunion with Denmark by To,ooo votes to 25,000. In the first zone the inhabitants vote en bloc for or against reunion with Denmark, but in the second zone voting was by municipalities. The important part of Flensborg comes within the second zone, and though this town was entirely Danish at the time of the war of 1866, its effective Germianisation has been disclosed by the result of the plebiscite. In accordance with official Danish wishes, no plebiscite is to be taken in the third zone. As a result of the first plebiscite, the new Danish frontier will be 25 to 40 miles south of the former frontier.
