Judging clay at the Show indicated that despite the drought all records are likely to be broken. The eight thousand entries maintain the highest standard, and there is a strong display of cattle. Special interest attached to the entry of Cluny"s Frieaians, and although they have only just arrived from New Zealand after a rough trip, they looked well and secured second for yearling hull, third for thrcc-year cow, and very highly commended for yearling heifer Record sales of stud cattle are anticipated. Already Mr Simpson's Clifton Cherry Colonel bull has sold for a thousand guineas. Aub.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
