Desultqry attacks were made on our forces by hostile tribes, assisted by Arab Government irregulars. Our operations were successful. We inflicted many casualties, mostly by air. A number of opposing tribal leaders recently came in to make their submission. They accepted our terms, paid fines and deposits, and demanded that our advanced detachments should remain at Saihiyam and Arbu Kanal pending an amicable decision of the boundary question.—Aus.-N.Z.
