Fine weather marked the entire voyage of the Renown to Barbadoes, which was reached on the afternoon of the 25th. The Prince gave dinner parties nightly, and he and his staff were entertained by the wardroom officers on the 22nd. A distressing fatality occurred on Wednesday afternoon. Gunner W. J. Lush, of the Royal Marine Artillery, fell from the boat deck into the sea, and though a boat was lowered the man was not seen again. The Prince sent ft personal message of condolence to the relatives—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
