"A SOURCE OF MUCH WEALTH." Mr. S. G. Smith, M.P., who was a member of the Parliamentary party which visited the Samoan and oUier Pacific Islands, returned to New Plymouth on Saturday. Mr. Smith says the party had, on the whole, a moat enjoyaible' time, and have returned with a wealth of information which should be invaluable when the Dominion Parliament has to deal with the problem-; which are awaiting settlement in Samoa. The members of the. party we/b impressed with the wealth of the Islands, their great productivity, and the iiivvlbilities of development in many ilivections. If a wise policy is pursued -Mr. Smith is of opinion that they can be nu.de a source of much wealth and advantage to the British Empire.
