MONASH'S METHODS.

now WAR WAS ENDED. London, Feb. 11. Mr. H. W. Wilson (assistant editor of the Daily Mail), in an article in that paper, says that General Monash's book is destined to become a classic, as one of the best descriptions of the triumphant period of the war. General Monash's fame will permanently rest on the apparently disputed fact that he originated the methods which brought its blackest day to the German army. It was due to him, perhaps, more than to any other commander, that the war ended in 1018 in utter German disaster. It is stated that Marshal Foch planned originally to wait- until and the American reinforcements, before dealing the final blow.
