LOKBON WOOL SALES. Messrs. Dalgety report having received the following cablegram from their London office under date of 15th. inst.: Wool sales opened. Attendance of buyers is large, competition is animated, and the selection Is fair. Continental buyers are buying more freely. A3 compared with last sales, closing rates good merino wools are 5 per cent, higher, other description 5 per cent to 7% per cent, higher. ' Crossbred wools of fine quality 5 per cent, higher, crossbred wools of medium and coarse quality are unchanged, but meet with more competition. AUCKLAND STOCK MARKET. . H. and .1. Goodfellow. Dairy cows £l4 to £l9 10s, dairy heifers £8 to £ll, calves £2 15s, gig horse £ls, pony £3 ss, At Westfleld fat stock imarket beef was penned in large numbers. Choice oten sold to £2 17s per 1001b., prime oxen £2 12s to £2 16s per 1001b., Tough and inferior oxen sold at from £2 5s to £2 12s per 1001b., cow and heifer beef sold at from £2 4s to £2 4s to £2 lis per 1001b. Steers sold at from £l7 15s to £22 for best, others £l2 to £l7 10s. Cows and heifers sold at from £8 to £l4 fss. Heavy prime wethers £1 17s Gd to £2 03 6d, medium £1 15s to £1 17s 3d, light £1 13s 6d to £1 14s 9d, small and unfinished £1 10s to £1 13s 3d, heavy prime ewes £1 14s to £1 17s 9d, medium £1 lis 6d to £1 13s 9d, light £1 7s 9d to £1 lis 3d, small and Inferior £1 0s 3d to £1 6s 3d. There was an extra heavy yarding of calves Runners £4 15s to £7 14s, heavy vealers £3 17s Cd ■to £4 14s. medium vealers £3 to £3 16s, light £1 18s to £2 19s, fresh dropped £1 to £1 3s. Pigs maintained high values, competition being very keen.
