N.S.W. POLLS.

DEFEAT OF THE MINISTRY,

A MAJORITY FOR LABOR. By Teleitrapli.—Press Assn.— Copyright, Received March 22, 10.5 p.m. Sydney, March 22. A careful analysis of the election figures revised to-day shows the probable composition of the new Parliament as follows: Labor 42 Nationalists 27 Progressives H Doubtful 10 Ministers are anxiously watching the present indefinite position, and are obviously prepared for a small Labor majority. Botii sides, however, _ are very cautious, owing to the possibility of an evenly divided House, with the almost certain defeat of the Holraan Ministry, which goes out of office whether the Laborites have a majority or not They certainly have the strongest party. The Governor is almost certain to commission Mr. D. Storey (recently a member of the Cabinet) to form a Ministry, although in certain quarters it is considered another election will be necessary shortly to secure e workable Parliament. Mr. W- C. firahame (the late Mtnrster of Agriculture) is definitely defeated in the Newcastle division. . The only member of the present Cabinet likely to lose his. seat is Mr. J. T. Crane (As-sistant-Minister of Lands).—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
