He reserved his defence, and was committed for trial, being released on bail.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. [Three detectives raided ?. house at Pimlico (London), in February, occupied by an Australian Military Police corporal, named King, where it was believed the proceeds of recent burglaries were concealed. The Australian fired a revolver at the detectives, but owing tv the magazine janibing only one shot was effective, striking Detective-Sergeant Cooper in the right breast and coming out at the shoulder. The wound was not serious. The Australian was arrested, i and also another occupant.]
