The locomotive men's executive is also prepared to act, but both bodies have agreed to wait until they can interview Mr. Massey when lie resumes work in a week or two. A STRIKE OPPOSED, VIEWS OP AUCKLAND MEN. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last NightThe following motion was carried by the Auckland branch of the Railway Officers' Institute to-night:— "While hearing with indignation the judgment of the Railway Inquiry Board respecting the claims matin by officers for improved salaries, hours and conditions of employment, this meeting expresses its strong disapproval of any policy of strike or 'go-slow' as prejudicial to tlie best interests of all members of the service, resulting in immense injury to the whole Dominion." A further resolution was passed disapproving in detail of the recommendations of the Board regarding the .officers' claims.
