The Food Ministry announces that from the 15th inst. the wholesale price of imported mutton will be reduced l'/ 3 d per lb, and lamb will be increased 2}d per lb. Retail prices will be correspondingly altered.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.

SUPPLYING THE TRADE. London, March 11. The Food Controller lias informed Sir T. Mackenzie that permission will be given to supply the trade with anv quantity of mutton and lamb instead of requiring the butcher to take two carcases of mutton for each lamb.

Sir T. Mackenzie considers that this will greatly help in the disposal of the present accumulations, as the public has all along been willing to pay higher prices for lamb.—Aus-N.Z. Cable A3sn.
