THE DISPUTE SETTLED. GOVERNMENT PROPOSALS ACCEPTED.' INCREASE STARTS TO-MOBROW/' By Telegraph.—Press Association, Wellington, La«t Night. The bread prices diipute hat beenl settled. The Prime Minister, in an interview, stated that the Dominion representatives of master bakers had had a fur> ther conference with the Board of Trade, and the bakers had agreed to the proposals of the Government, via., that th« increase in the counter price was to a half penny per 21b. loaf and tbre«V farthings on bread delivered over the. prices ruling in February last. A comprehensive statement showing in detail the cost of the manufacture of bread and the returns made from it* sale is. to be supplied monthly by each master baker to the Board of Tjade, and if, after examination of these statements it is shown that the price* fired are not equitable the position will be reconsidered by the Government.
The new prices will operate throng/In out the Dominion as from Saturday; next, the 13th inst., and are general irf their application.
