A WAR WORKER.
RETURN OP MR. ROBERT NOLAN. One of the passengers by the transport Athenie, which arrived in Wellington last week, -was Mr. Hobert Nolan (of Hawera), who during the whole of the war period was in charge of the Soldiers' Club at Russell Square, Lon-, j don. Mr. Nolan suffered a very serious'! breakdown after the armistice, and is still very unwell. He is, however, very much better now than he wae three months ago, when he left England. He is still on board the Athenie, and is going on to Auckland, where his relatives Teside. The Prime Minister went down to the Athenie to welcome Mr. Noli3i to i the Dominion. "Mr. Nolan," stated Mr. Massey to a Wellington Times representative, "is one of those who did particularly good work in England in connection with our 'soldiers. There is probably no one whose services were more annreclated by both soldiers and civilknj."
