MAGISTRATE'S COURT. (From Our Own Correspondent). Waitara, March R. On Wednesday last the following cases were heard before Mr. T. A. B. Bailey, S.M.r-TVv„l.n.-„ am l Son v. Tohia, claim £2 ss, .judgment with cost? • 'i-p>' v. W, Hill, claim fij 10s 6d. A statement of defence had been filed and .-£(! 0s fid paid to cover the claim with costs. Judgment was o;iven for tho balance of costs, 6s. Judgment was given in the case Headley v. Rangi Tutahi. claim £6O 10s, for monev advanced. The magistrate deducted the major part of the counter claim and allowed plaintiff £45 10s Id, with costs £6 ss. On the counter claim defcni'pnt waq allowed 235. In the case of Hundley v. Taialci plaintiff was allowed £l, being the balance between the claim and ■• counterclaim. The costs allowed plaintiff amounted to £A Bs, and defendant was allowed costs of £4 Ida 3d. Heo. W. Rogers was charged with permitting cattle to wander on the county road nt flkoke. On the application of Mr. Stead (County Solicitor) an adjournment was granted-

To-day saw the first sheep fair held at Tikorangi hv the Farmers' Co-opera-tive Organisation 'Society- Mr. H. A. Foreman kindly lent hi.s yards for (lie sale. A local firm lias 2000 casta of cement at fioldcn Bay awaiting shipment, but cannot get a boat to lift the commodity. Lack of shipping space seems therefore to be more the trouble than lack of supplies.
