THE STAR CLUB. AXXUAL REPORT. The nnnusl report of the Star Football Club, which is to be presented at the annual meeting on Tuesday night, congratulates members on the successful season, first on the way the members acquitted themselves on the field of play, and secondly on the fiiiancinl results, tiie year ending with a balance' of £3B lis lid,, iiftiii- paying off old account of i:U Hi. The 'pnncipul receipts were: Gates £Ol 15s 3d, players' subs £lllO3, hon. members £l4 "is (id, officers i'S Oo (Id, special subs £i li)s Tho proceeds of the S. Mynott benefit match amounted to £29 14s 4d. The Club thanked the Press for advertising, the Roard for free use of ground, t-lis referee, tho Ok&to Club, and all ,vho helped in any way.
The committee were faced with a fairly hard task to re-organise the Club after lying dormant for five years. The Club finished the season with 92 financial players. 11 officers, and 50 hon. members. The Club extended its congratulations to the seniors for the good fight put up, the fir it Thiirsdov Juniors for winning the Carbine shield, and also the Saturday an, 1 . Thursday Juniors for their keenness and the way ihey held toother. All team*, had the misfortune to lose some of their best players through accident and through some leaving the district. The Club was represented in the reps.
