"POVERTY FOR JESUS."

SACRIFICE OF A BISHOP. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received March 5, 7.23 p.m. Brisbane, March 6. The Anglican Diocesan Council at Rockhampton has received a letter from Bishop Harford, Bishop of Rockhampton, announcing his intention to resign his see. He declared he was about to renounce all he possessed, and live a life of poverty for the sake of Jesus. He conceived this to be a call from God, and he dared not disobey it, and he was constrained by examples of G-od, who, though rich, became poor. After his resignation the Bishop becomes a worker in the bmh brotherhood. —Aus.N.Z. Cable Assn.
