THE RETIRING GOVERNOR.
SUCCESSOR NOT YET KNOWN. The farewell addresses being delivered by the Governor-General in various parts of the country are the signs of His Excellency's coming departure from New Zealand. It is understood that in the ordinary course Lord Liverpool would have left New Zealand at about the end of this month, but because of the visit of the Prince of Wales he will not get away before the end of June. There is no news yet as to who his successor will be.
