INCREASE OP PUBLIC WORSHIP. NEW MISSION FIELDBy Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. At the New Zealand Methodist Conference the report of the Welfare Committee stated the total church membership was 23,200, a decrease of 122. The attendance at public worship was estimated at 77,800, an increase of 780. It was agreed to support the proposal that the New Zealand Church should take over from Australia the mission field in the northern portion of the Soloman Islands, including Bouganville and Baku, in 1922.
