TARANAIiI TOURNAMENT. NEXT MONTH'S MEETING. Arrangements arc now well in hand for the annual Taranaki tournament to he held on the New Plymouth Club's links at Waiwakaiho early next month. The tournament has been a popular one for many years, and this year the entries are , expected to be 'better than ever. Taranaki, Wanganui, and Manawatu are always well represented, and this year there will also be visitors from Auckland, Wellington, and Hawke's Bay?. The links are at present in very good condition, and should be in splendid order in another month. The tournament, which opens on Saturday, April 3, will extend over three days- On the first, day the qualifying round of 3G holes of the championship will be played, and combined with this will be a teams' match and mednl handicaps. On the Monday and Tuesday 1 the championship will be concluded, and other events will be two bogey handicaps, a medal handicap, and a four-ball bogey handicap. Two matches for ladies are also provided—a bogey match on the Monday and a medal match on the Tuesday. There will also be a continuous putting competition. Entries close with the secretary of the New Plymouth Club on March 31.
