HARVEST THANKSGIVING.

The New Plymouth Baptists have every rea~son to be satisfied, with the Harvest Festival held last Sunday. The preacher for the day was the Rev. A. H. Collins, of Australia, whose discourses were intellectual and spiritual treats. 'J.'ne church was beautifully decorated. The choir gave two special anthems in rile morning and one in the evening. Miss Cocker rendered "Angels ever bright and fair." The choir was augmented by a few friends, and Mr. L. Blanchctt assisted in the orchestra, fireiit credit and praise is due to Mrs. linnnor and her stuff (Miss Honnor, "Aksilames Northern; A. H_ Ambury, R. AmImn, and Mr. Fred Northern) for arranging the fruit, vegetables, etc.. and to Mr Northern, the choirmaster, for training the choir. Mrs. Diprosc pre••iiied at the organ. Last night die sale of the produce and harvest social was held in the -schoolroom under the chairmanship of Mr. Diprose, the following programme being rendered:--Piano solo, Miss Coleman': snug. Mr..;. Northern: vocal duet, Mrs. Dmrosp and Mr. R. Ambury; recitation, Francis Northern; song, Mr. Boy Dcare: song Miss Homior; flute solo, Mr. Northern: siTis, Mr. F V. Johnson; recitation, Charley Ambury: song, Mr;. Northers. A hiisk sale produced satisfactory prices.
