(Prom Our Own Correspondent)' On Tuesday night a meeting was held to form a unit of the Legion of Frontiersmen, but owing to lack of support was postponed till Tuesday next, when It is hoped that those who' promised assistance from outside the district will be present and assist the local enthusiasts to form a. branch. Mr. W. H. Humphrey ran a sideshow, entitled the "Marvels of Nature," and with four powerful microscopes had a busy t;me entertaining his patrons. Mr. Bert Lightfoot is at present in the New Plymouth hospital in a serious condition, but according to latest advices he is slight)- better. HORTICULTURAL SHOW. Further awards are as follow: Mrs. E. Jones won points prize with 50 points. Farm and Garden.—The special prize of 21s donated by Mr. G. H. Hutton, was won by T. A. Kennedy. Preserves, Wines, 'etc.—The special prize donated by J. R. Srtherland, was won by Mrs. E. J. Brittian. Home Cookery.—The special prize of l'OOlbs of Sentry Hill flour, was won bv Mrs. A. W. Yeates. Juvenile Cooking.—The special prize of 5s was won by Alice Coles, and the special prize of lis, donated by E. C. Heel, was won by Griffith Jones. OTHER CLASSES. Landscape.—Mr. R. J.
