ANOMALIES TO BE DEALT WITH. By Tolsgrnpli.—Press Association, Wellington, last Night, In. accordance with an arrangement with the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association the Defence Department has decided to establish a special committee to deal with cases of anomaly and hardship regarding the payment of war gratuities. The committee will.consist of Colonel J. J. EsHon, 0.M.G., assistant secretary and accountant to (lie Treasury, Colonel J. Hutehen,' officer in charge of war expenses, and a representative to he appointed bv the R.S.A. All claims for consideration and decision will he submitted to the committee through the U.S.A., which will decide whether the cases merit presentation.
