THE WAR. DEBT. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Berlin, Feb. 18. Hsrr Erzberger, presiding at a conference on the question of Cermany's Idebt, estimated that the Republic would owe 204 milliards of marks on March 20, of which 100 milliards were in Treasury bills not bearing interest. « REDUCTION OF ARMY. London, Feb. 18. Mr. Lloyd George, as president of the SVpreme Council, has to-day written to Hcrr St Uamer, German Charge d'Affaires in London, stating that he has received an intimation from the president of the Commission of Control in Berlin pomting out the difficulty with which the German Government will be confronted if the Allies insist on a reduction of military strength under the Peace Treaty to 200,000 men by March 31. This date was fixed in the belief that the treaty would operatu much earlier. - ' ; •-" i : .; The Supreme Council has decided to permit the reduction to be to 200,000 by April 4 and to 100,000 bv July 10.
