WOMEN'S NATIONAL RESERVE.

THE CONFERENCE CONCLUDED. The Dominion Conference of the 'Women's National Reserve was concluded yesterday morning. The question of affiliation with the National Council of Women was discussed, and it was decided to leave the local branches free to act as they thought fit. Mis» Slleppard presented a report of the work of the Honorary Division, in which it was again suggested that reunions of mothers and wives of soldiers should he held throughout the Dominion on the anniversary of Armistice Day.

The Junior branch of the work was specially dealt with by Mrs. Burgess, wliq paid, a tribute to the splendid work done by the local junior branch under the presidency of Miss Barr.

It. was decided to endeavor to form junior branch** wherever possible. A motion was passed placing on record the Reserve's deep. appreciation of the labors of the Taranaki branch and its wonderful and generous support throughout. VOTES OF THANKS.

Votes of thanks were passed to the president and committee of division centres, Department of Internal Affairs, Defence Stores, Public Health Department, Hospital Nurses, Medical Stair. War Relief Boards and individual members of the cc|:'immiity. Also the Hawera branch for providing tea en route, the Mayor and Mayoress (Mr and Mis'. Clarice), Mr. and 'Mrs. Burgess, Mrs. T. C. Lisft, New 'Plymouth Tourist League, New Plymouth Borough Council, owners of motor-ears who had placed them- at the disposal of the Reserve, the Press, and the Soldiers' Club and Hostel.

The conference terminated shortly after mid-day by the si ng of the National Anthem".
