OWNERSHIP OF LAND,
PROTEST BY BRITISHERS. By Teleeraph.—Press Asan.—Cojiyrljbt, Received Feb. 18, 1115 p.m. Vancouver, Feb. 15. The Associated Board? of Trade of British Columbia passed a resolution urging the Canadian Government to take immediate action to prevent Japanese ownership of land in Canada. It is asserted there is a larger proportion of Japanese in British Columbia than in California. The Japanese Consul, Mr. Ukita, said that many Japanese are naturalised Canadian citizens and could not be prevented from owning land. He added that Japanese capital Would not be attracted to Canada if the public sentiment against the Japanese continued—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
