AMERICA AND PEACE.

ARTK&E TEN RESERVATION. ATTITUDE OF THE DEMOCRATS. By Telegraph:—rress Assn.- Copyr'eht. Washington, Peb. 13Senator G- M. Hitchcock (Leader of the Democrats) and other Senators who support the President, have expressed the belief that the reservation regarding Article 10 would prove a stumbling block to the ratification of the Treaty. Senator Hitchcock said neither the original Lodge reservation nor the substitute would be accepted. The Senator said he preferred the original Lodge reservation to the substitute, but he could-not vote for either of them. He said the situation was now in the control,.of the Republicans, and if they were not willing to modifv the reservation to the satisfaction of President Wilson's followers, then they must accept full responsibility ,in the event of the Treaty not being, ratified.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Astrti. •'-.= ■■
