EGMONT A. & P. SHOW.
SPLENDID ENTRIES, ' SUCCESSFUL EVENT EXPECTED. As will be seen from the figures of entries for this year's Egmont A. and P. show, which is to be held next Wednesday and Thursday, there is every reason to expect this year's event to be most wccessfnl, given good weather. All the classes show increases in entries except home industries, and it is thought that this class would have been much larger • but for the shortage of sugar. Totals 1744 1234 510 The association, officials are busy providing accommodation for the exhibits. Owing to tho large number of entries cattle and sJie-ep stewards are all required to be on the show groundsr at 6 a m. each day. Everything promises well for the success of the Egmont A. and P. Association's show on Wednesday and Thursday next. As shown by the figures published above, the entries are far ahead of last year's. There will undoubtedly be one of the finest exhibitions of dairy stock that lias ever been seen in the Dominion, and there will also be an exceptional display of implements and motor cars. Special excursion trains will run from New Plymouth' and Wanganui, and visitors to the show are expected from a wider area than usual. The grounds are in the best- of order, and in the preparations every consideration in being shown for the welfare of the public. There will be numerous side shows on the ground, and amusement as well as instruction will be provided" for all.
