INGLEWOOD.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) The contractor (Mr. C. E. Roebuck) is making good progress with the construction of the Makara reinforced concrete bridge. That Mr. Roebuck thoroughly understands this kind of work is demonstrated by the good work put in the one just completed oVer the Kur.ipete stream, on the Everett Road, which is one of the most compact bridges of its kind in the Moa Riding, and the structure is a credit to the Board, engineer, and builder. The present spell of dry weather is a great advantage to Foreman C. Bovet and his men in carrying on the work of metalling the Everett Road.
