Wellington, Last Xight The following Is a copy of a cablegram from tho Director of Haw Materials, Loudon, dated 4th February, received by the Prime Minister to-finy: "The first series closed with ft firm tone on 24th January. As compared with the previous series merinos finished 5 per cent dearer. Fine crossbred* showed no quotable alteration. White, medium and coarse repained an initial' decline. Finer descriptions of slliies and scoured crossbreds sold at fully previous rate 3, but market for coaraes grades was par to 5 per cent easier."
