A TRIBUTE FROM FRANCE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright, Received Feb. 6, 9.55 p.m. Paris, Feb. 5. The Academie Franeaise installed Marshal Foch as an Academician. M. Poincare paid a warm tribute to his supreme war achievements. He said that more than anyone else he was responsible for the enemy's defeat. M. Poincare concluded: "You will remain for France, and for all friendly countries, a most clear-sighted and precious Coun-cillor."—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
