A London message reports the death of Lady Burne Jones, wife of the famous artist. Mr. G. L. Petersen, advance manager for Wirth's Circus, arrived in New Plymouth last night, to make arrangements for a one night season, Saturday, February 21. An old resident of Auckland, Mrs. Nauncheon Teutenberg, died on Ist February. Deceased was 71 years of age, and the wife of Mi'. Anton Teutenberg; a member of an old-established firm in Auckland. A farmer resident of Rowan, in the person of Mrs. C. Brooming, died at Petane, Napier, recently. She leaves a family of eight, of whom Mrs. J. J. Cullen, of Riverlea, ia a daughter, and Mr. Dick Garrett, of Kapuni, and Mr. C. Garrett, of Ohangi, are sons. A presentation was made to Mr. T. Slmiier Weston, chairman of the Wellington Repatriation Board, on Tuesday, on behalf of the Board and members of his staff, on the occasion of his marriage. The death occurred at Wellington, on Tuesday, of Mr. John Buckman, who resided up till recently in New Plymouth. He was born in the Wairau Valley, and was a resident of Blenheim for a number of years. He leaves a widow and family of six daughters and two sons. The daughters are Mrs. Maurice D'Oisley (Miss Rosina Buckman. the famous singer), Mrs. Ellerson (of Kilbirnie), Mrs. Rossiter (Wellington), Nurse Buckman (of the Wellington hospital staff) and Miss Clarice Buckman. Mr. ArthuT Buckman (farmer, of Aria) and Mr. N. Bucfiman (of Wellington) are sons of the deceased.
