FATALITY AT RACECOURSE.
COUNTRY VISITOR DROPS DEAD. Shortly before the first race of the T..T.C. meeting at New Plymouth yesterday a man dropped dead in the grounds near the totalisator house. The body was taken in charge by the police and removed to the morgue. From papers in his possesion he was identified as James M'Allister, of Lower Mangorei. It was ascertained later that lie had recently received medical attention. The deceased was well-known in the Mangorei district, where for thirty years he had been cook at the factory. An inquest will be held by the Coroner (Mr. T. A. B. Bailey, S.M.), at 8.30 o'clock this morning.
