OLYMPIC GAMES.
AN AUSTRALASIAN TEAM. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyrleht. Sydney, Feb. 2. The Athletic Conference, discussing the Olympian Games, to be held at Antwerp, disclosed the fact that Australia had done nothing regarding representation. The chairman expressed the opinion that only three men in Australia had any chance in the games, though seven men could be sent from swimming, tennis and athletic associations, with three men from New Zealand. The approximate cost would be £2OO each. The New Zealand delegate replied that the New Zealand flag would be there. A motion recommending that Australia should be represented at the next Olympic games was carried.
Mr. Coombes was appointed to manage the team.
