AUCKLAND SESSIONS. By Telegraph.—Pres? Association. Auckland, Feb. 3. At the Supreme Court Constance Elizabeth Parsonage was charged with the manslaughter of her infant child, who wan drowned in a creek at Pokeno. The evidence showed that her hora« wa» destroyed by fire, and a few (Jays later tho womau and child were found in th» creek, the child having been drowned. Tho woman's mind was affected, probably by the fire, and she did not reallstf what she had done. A verdict was returned of nut guilty, on the ground that tho woman was insane at the time the act was committed. She was acquitted and ordered to remain in custody.
