SCHOOL COMMITTEES ASSN.
MEETING OP THE EXECUTIVE. A meeting of the executive of tlie Taranaki School Committees' Association was held last night, when there were present: Messrs. S. 6. Smith, M.P. (in the chair), Ira J. Bridger, G. H. Dolby (Central), A. P. Lister (Frankley), J. W. Downes (Bell Block), anil J. Garcia (West End). An apology was received from Mr. W. D. Reid (secretary). it was resolved to forward a letter of sympathy to Mr. J.> Sander in the loss of his wife. It was resolved to revise the constitution at the next monthly meeting of the Association, and to request all branches to forward any suggestions, and also to make a point of being represented at the meeting. It was decided to join the Federated Association of School Committees of New Zealand. The chairman gave a resume of the business at the recent School Committees' Association Conference, and it was resoWed that he be thanked for his attendance, and for the keen interest he has taken therein. Mr. S. G. Smith was congratulated on his re-election to Parliament, where he will be able to continue his good work in the educational advancement of Taranaki and the Dominion generally.
