BRITISH ADVANCE OPPOSED. By Telegraph —Press Assn.—Copyright. Delhi, Jan. 30. Official: The Derajat column advancing up the Tankzau Pass is meeting with considerable sniping. Our casualties were about SO at Lasskar. Sixteen hundred Wana-Waziris have reinforced the enemy, bringing with them two Afghan guns. Both Mahsuds and Waziris are collecting a force a few miles from our camp, and the outlying Mahsuds have been summoned to oppose our advance.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
