THURSDAY COMPETITION, URENUI DEFEAT WAIREKA. These teams met at Tukapa yesterday. The wicket was a very bumpy one, making scoring very difficult. Urenui batted first, and totalled 30 runs. Small as this was, it proved to be beyond the Waireka eleven, who found O'Neill, the left-hand bowler, very hard to place, and were dismissed for 20 runs, the visitors winning by 1C runs. The Urenui men had a second strike before play ceased, scoring 90 runs for 5 wickets. Details:— URENUI.
