Allen (Minister for Internal Affairs of Samoa) as follows: "While agreeing largely with the urgency, importance, and necessity for such a. visit I would like to he assured that full weight has been given to the wisdom of making the proposed visit at the present juncture, in view of the serious position of most 'brandies of industries in the Dominion through shortage of shipping and coal, especially the latter."
Sir James Allen replied: "The importance of Island affairs was recognised when Parliament was last sitting and when the. Prime Minister gave a promise that members would b.e given an opportunity of personally investigating matters.
