Amongst other returns for the period are the following:—Plaints entered, 111); distress warrants issued, 10; judgment summonses issued, 13; committal warrants issued, 4; summonses, etc., served, 134 (112 within 2 miles and 22 over 2 miles); distress warrants executed, 9, PENSIONS DEPARTMENT. The follow-in? returns give the number of new pensions granted, etc., and renewals made:— Old Age Pensions: Applications granted, 11; refused, I!; pending, 14. Renewals: Granted, 61; refused, nil; pending, 25. Widows' Pensions: Applications granted, 2; refused, nil; pending, ;». Renewals: Granted, 13; refused', nil; pending-, 10.
