The Taranaki Tournament was continued yesterday, the most perfect wen ther possible favoring the function Section play was continued to the eonelusion of the sixth round. All the greens were much keener than on the opening day and were drawing so well that many of the players had to correct a tendency to na'rrowness. Some of the play was of a very high order of merit and a number of the finishes very close, two teams making a tie at the twenty.flrst head and having to play off. At one head H. Smart had the pleasure of adding eight to his side, the maximum obtainable. The Taihape team broke their run of bad luck by scoring a win in the last game of the, day, and they should have defeated their opponents in the previous game.
