[Sir lan Hamilton, who was Com-mander-in-Chief of the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force in 1915 and conducted the Gallipot! operations, has since been employed on a Home appointment. He was born on January 16, 1553, and entered the Army in 1873. He has had a distinguished career and has taken part in many campaigns. Sir lan Hamilton visited New Zealand before the war.]
