It should be understood that Italy has done something to relieve the difficult situation. Whereas Italy, in April, was demanding all the territory given her by the Treaty of London as well as Fiume, Italy has now abandoned the claim to Dalmatia and is content to allow Fiume and Zara to become free towns under the League of Nations.—Aus.-N.Z.
