Waihi mining shares—Buyers, 47/6; sellers, 50/-. Wheat—The market is active. There i 9 good business in Australian cargoes on passage at 61/Flour is steady. ' Oats are in strong demand. La. Plata on spot, sfl/-. Peas are quieter. New Zealand maples, 145/- to 150/-. Beans are quiet and prices are unchanged. •Sugar is unchanged. The butter trade is sceptical about the Food Ministry's reported purchase of Russian butter, which, in any case, cannot arrive before July as the Kara Sea is frown. At the wool sales merinos were firm at the full late rates. Slipes and greasy crossbreds were harder. Merinos were in poor selection- Business was quiet in the Bradford tops market, but its tone was strong. Merinos and fine crossbreds are firm, while medium and low quality crossbreds are slightly easier.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
