DISABLED SOLDIERS.

UNIFORM SCHEME OF ASSISTANCE. A meeting of the Advisory Board of the Federation of Patriotic War Relief Societies will be held towards the end of February to consider schemes for assisting the totally and partially disabled soldiers. At present some societies have started definite schemes, but it is hoped that a uniform scheme may be adopted for the whole Dominion. Now nearly all the men are back, it should be possible to obtain a complete list of the totally and partially disabled men, and to devise a uniform scheme. In the meantime the different societies are inquiring into the many cases which require assistance in their districts, and are rendering assistance in most cases of a temporary nature. When the Advisory Board has considered the different schemes it is proposed to submit the report to a conference at a later date.
