A cable from the Secretary of Statsi. for the Colonies has been received by Lord Liverpool, the Governor-General, informing him that His Majesty the JCing has been graciously pleased to approve an extension of his Excellency's term of office'in order that he rtay be in New Zealand when the Prince of Wale* visits the Dominion.
