Complaints have been accumulating, but the main issue was.wages:. . The chairman of the company had a long interview with the men last night and conceded the 37s fid asked for. He left, fully understanding that a satisfactory basis had been reached. This morning not even a fireman was found on duty. The men would not even move dead carcases: into the freezer. There is every appearance of the strike being a section of a comprehensive upheaval.
